Becca's Senior Session

I went to Howell, MI to spend a few hours photographing Becca, a senior from Howell High School. Becca looked beautiful with hair and makeup, done by Alex from The Fringe Hair Company at Premier Salon Suites, in Shelby Township. We started off with a backyard shoot with a gorgeous garden setting, open fields  and her family dog, Candy.  As we were heading to our second location, a Downtown Brighton park. We saw a colorful hot air balloon in the distance. So, we chased after the balloon, all over the neighborhood and were able to get some great shots.

Finally, we made it to Downtown Brighton. The plan was to get bridges and a waterfall as a setting for our shoot. But, to our surprise there was a concert in the park, the waterfall was shut off, and the bridges were full of people. This park was full of people enjoying their beautiful Sunday evening, listening to a local band. Sometimes things don’t work out like you planned. As a photographer you must make do with your environment. So, we took a walk around and found different places to shoot. We took some urban style street shots and stumbled upon a car show. That’s right, a car show full vintage cars including a cute little blue, 1960 MGA 1600 convertible, in which the owner allowed us to use in our photoshoot. A plan we thought was ruined, turned out to be full of unique surprises. And we captured some wonderful memories.
